aMuse will present the annual VCE Music Teachers’ Conference on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March 2007. aMuse is delighted once again to be able to hold this conference in The Cripps Centre, at Caulfield Grammar School.

The speakers and workshop presenters will provide teaching advice for 2007 while reflecting and reporting on the results from 2006, the first year of implementation of the new study design.

Central to the focus of all sessions will be the VCE Music Study Design, its supporting documents, and the VCE Assessment Handbook. There will be opportunity for teachers to share their views through discussion about how to improve teaching and learning in 2007.

Teachers attending the VCE Music Teachers’ Conference should bring copies of the Music Study Design, the VCE Assessment Handbook, and, when available, the 2006 written exam and examiners reports. These documents will be regularly referred to, so it is essential to obtain copies.

There will be five sessions at this conference. Teachers may attend any or all of the five sessions. Please indicate your session choices on the registration form.

A detailed program outlining the content and speakers for each session will be available from the aMuse website from late January 2007.

The cost of this conference is $25.00 per session for members and $35.00 per session for non-members. Two or members from the same school attending the same session may attend at the team discount rate of $22.00 per person. (This discount rate is only availble to teachers from member schools. )

An optional gourmet picnic lunch by Suzanne Tipton will be available on each day for $17.00. All lunches must be ordered with registration. All prices are inclusive of GST. Cheque, credit card payment or school order number must accompany registration.

All participants will be issued with a confirmation notice.
