aMuse will present the annual VCE Music Teachers’ Conference on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 February 2008. aMuse is delighted once again to be able to hold this conference in The Cripps Centre, at Caulfield Grammar School.

The speakers and workshop presenters will provide teaching advice for 2008 while reflecting and reporting on the results from 2007, the first year of implementation of the new study design.

Central to the focus of all sessions will be the VCE Music Study Design, its supporting documents, and the VCE Assessment Handbook. There will be opportunity for teachers to share their views through discussion about how to improve teaching and learning in 2008.

Teachers attending the VCE Music Teachers’ Conference should bring copies of the Music Study Design, the VCE Assessment Handbook, and, when available, the 2007 written exam and examiners reports. These documents will be regularly referred to, so it is essential to obtain copies.

There will be four sessions at this conference. Teachers may attend any or all of the four sessions. Please indicate your session choices on the registration form.

The cost of this conference is $28 per single session for members and $36 per session for non-members. Members attending two or more sessions over the weekend may attend at the multiple session discount rate of $22 per session. Two or more members from the same school attending the same session may attend at the team discount rate of $22 per person. (This discount rate is only availble to teachers from member schools. )

An optional gourmet picnic lunch by Suzanne Tipton will be available on each day for $18.00. All lunches must be ordered with registration. All prices are inclusive of GST. Cheque, credit card payment or school order number must accompany registration.

All participants will be issued with a confirmation notice.
