Troy Male has been teaching guitar for 13 years and is fully Degree and Dip. Ed. qualified. He currently teaches guitar at Macrobertson Girls High School, Lauriston Girls College, Yamaha Music School and privately at his place!
He teaches everything from reading music to styles of Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz and Fingerstyle Guitar, at beginners to advanced levels and has successfully taken students through AMEB and ANZCA music exams.

I am a highly experienced instrumental music teacher who is seeking 1 or 2 days of piano/music theory or flute teaching at schools in the Western or Northern region. I am also available for private tuition in piano, music theory and flute. I am based near the city.
I completed Bachelor of Music Performance degree at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1994. In addition, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Music Technology at La Trobe University in 1995, a Bachelor of Teaching (Honours) in 1998 and a Master of Education degree at the University of Melbourne in 2002. My major instrument is piano and my second instrument is flute. I have played keyboard in a school production band, as well as both keyboard and flute in church bands. I have performed and accompanied on various occasions, including church worship services and weddings. During my internship at Thornbury Darebin Secondary College (now Thornbury High School) in 1998, I had tutored Year 7 and 8 flute students in small groups in junior concert band camp and band practices. I have been taking flute lessons and completed AMEB Eighth Grade Flute examination with honours in 2006.
Currently, I am teaching piano at Ave Maria College on Tuesdays and at Ivanhoe Grammar School (Plenty Campus) on Thursdays.
