 Membership details

aMuse is a professional association open to all music educators and those who are interested in music education. aMuse provides support to music education through publications, professional development activities, teacher networks and performance opportunities for students.

aMuse is recognised by the Department of Education as the Victorian body for providing professional development for Victorian music teachers. aMuse is a member of the Council of Professional Teaching Associations of Victoria.

aMuse's membership consists of around 600 schools and individuals. Main membership is corporate, whereby more than one music teacher in a school is covered. Members include classroom teachers and specialist music educators in primary schools, classroom and instrumental teachers in post-primary schools, tertiary educators, publishers, music retailers and other community music and music education bodies.

Membership entitles members to copies of all aMuse publications and reduced rates for seminars and workshops. aMuse subscribes to all the major international music education journals offering members access to these and the publications provided to aMuse by major music publishers in Australia. aMuse also acts as a 'member appointed' music education information centre because of its broad knowledge of all things to do with music education and its strong affiliation with the Department of Education.
