Professional Learning ActivitiesaMuse offers a range of professional development activities throughout the year. These can include, for example, weekly developmental sessions on such topics as choral conducting, or composing in the classroom, or establishing a recorder ensemble. aMuse also has a close affiliation with the SoundHouse and runs music and technology based workshops with them. aMuse has run an array of workshops to help establish curriculum initiatives from the Department of Education in schools. Many sessions, both as part of conferences and on a more ad hoc basis have been organised both centrally and regionally to help implement the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. aMuse feels a strong sense of responsibility for the cultivation of music curriculum initiatives and to be part of the dissemination process when these initiatives come to fruition. |
