Counterpoint journal 

aMuse formerly produced a 50-60 page journal entitled Counterpoint which was distributed to all its members. Counterpoint provided members with up to date information on programmes and resources as well as providing articles investigating current trends in the development of music curriculum and methods of implementation.

Counterpoint endeavoured to provide a balance of articles which were both erudite and accessible to all those involved in music education at all levels. Counterpoint reached that very pleasant position whereby music educators, both national and on occasions international, sought publication for their articles in Counterpoint as the journal gained national respect. Due to skyrocketing production costs, counterpoint Journal is no longer published in print form.

 Counterpoint News 

Counterpoint News is the regular newsletter of the association. Counterpoint News provides members with up to date information on events that are of interest to music educators, including seminars, festivals, competitions and visiting schools' programs. Counterpoint News includes professional development activities run by aMuse as well as events provided by other music education bodies such as SoundHouse Australia, Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia (KMEIA), the Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association (VOSA) and the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME). Counterpoint News is published 6 times per year.
