Dr  Ros McMillan AM has been teaching for over 50 years, retiring as Head of Music Education in the University of Melbourne in 2005. After 20 years training both general primary and specialist music teachers, her graduates are in schools throughout the world and her curriculum materials are also used by teachers around the world. 

Ros has presented workshops for teachers and students in every state of Australia and internationally, including Canada, USA, Korea, South Africa, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, China, Greece and Hong Kong.  She is particularly interested in the concept of music education being utilised to fulfil the curriculum requirements of AusVELS and NAPLAN.

Ros was appointed a Memeber in the the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honurs LIst.
